“But one of the things about the law is that, as it relates to property owners and the law imposes upon every property owner or people who are in control of the property is to make sure that those who were invited on the property, they are protected from any dangerous type of conditions that may exist and a common one that we see in premises liability cases is when there is water on the floor or there is a ditch or something that somebody fell in. But one of these premise liability cases is also something called Negligence Security and there are times for example that people are victims of either getting seriously injured or even killed while on the property of others and this could be for example at the mall or it could be at the community association or the apartment complex of the business building and it could be a result of the criminal conduct of other parties and you would think how could somebody be held responsible for someone else’s criminal conduct? Well, the law says you can be responsible,” John explained. 

“It takes a lot of space to prove including history in consulting with experts in the field of criminal law enforcement and security. A lot of them that we utilize their ex-police cheats, their FBI agents, we do an analysis, a forensic type analysis, the property, types of crimes that have been around the area, other incidents, and so forth. They assist in building a case to show that the property owner failed to protect those people who came across the property. Those are the type of cases that we help our clients recover compensation when injured,” John added further explaining the process.

The building was still new and was just recently built when it accepted tenants for rental. But although it was developed for quite a short period of time, it already sprung problems to its homeowners. 

“It’s a unique case and it involved, well it started to be a singular resident of a large community establishment here in South Florida when they started to notice that something was wrong. Before working on personal injury cases, John was on the other side. He was a defense attorney for massive companies and influential people. “For a long time, I was on the other side of the aisle. I was an insurance defense attorney and I was defending large companies, other individuals who caused harm to others in personal injury type accidents which could be wrongful death claims, automobile accidents, in a variety of other different accidents,” John said. 

But when he was putting up his own firm, he started to shift. “While I enjoyed my time representing those companies and working for insurance carriers, I also had some empathy for some of the victims in that cases too and when I opened my own office, I started representing these individuals who were harmed by others to their negligence and it’s really become a passion for me because these are victims who need help immediately, whose lives have been turned upside down by an event they really had no anticipation of and did nothing wrong and their wives have been harmed in significant ways and I find a lot of satisfaction in representing these people. That’s where my passion comes from,” John added.
